Session 2: 25 Admissions Factors – What’s Not In / Sort Of In Your Control

  • The 25 factors colleges consider when reviewing applications
  • What’s fixed (e.g., geography, background) vs. what’s flexible (e.g., awards, recommendations)

Session 3: 25 Admissions Factors Part 1

  • Edge development, GPA, class rank, work/volunteer experience, character and qualities
  • How to shape a memorable, authentic profile

Session 4: 25 Admissions Factors Part 2

  • Test scores, portfolios, interest levels, senior-year decisions
  • Building a profile that stands out across multiple factors

Session 5: Inside an Admissions File – Real-World Application

  •  Analyze an actual applicant file using the 25-factor lens
  • Compare self-assessment with real admissions officer notes
  • Self-reflection on key priorities for profile development

Session 6: Finding the “Right” Competitions and Awards

  • Identifying meaningful vs. low-impact contests
  • Avoiding the “upright pyramid” problem
  • Building a competition prep timeline that aligns with goals
